Alexey Frandetti, three-time Golden Mask Award winner, will stage Paul Gordon’s musical “Daddy- Long-Legs”, based on the novel of the same name by Jean Webster. The play is written by librettist John Caird, the famous Broadway and the West End director (“Les Miserables”, “Children of Edem”, “Candide”).
The musical will be produced in Russia for the first time. Cast — Golden Mask Award winners Ivan Ozhogin and Yulia Dyakina.
Jerusha Abbott grew up in an orphanage. The one occasion turns her life over: the girl receives a scholarship to study at a prestigious college from an anonymous benefactor. Under the terms of the agreement, Judy must write detailed letters to her secret patron about what is happening to her, but he will never respond to her. And Judy writes, because there is so much unknown and exciting in her new life. But the desire to find out who is hiding on the other side of the correspondence is getting stronger and stronger every day...
